How can unions organise precarious workers??

Uncertain shifts, varying wages - sound familiar?

This is what millions of dockers and seafarers, as well as workers from other transport sectors, are facing on a daily basis. An estimated 50% of the transport workforce is now in precarious work and it looks like that number is only set to grow. Unions are recognising this and have been working with the ITF to try and start doing something to organise precarious workers, where they're not already.
